The mini-hexagons were on my wishlist, when they unexpectedly landed (in a package from Quilt-it & Dotty)on the doormat. I used a different fabric for the border and for the hexagons in between (the brown ones) to get more contrast. Very fun to make, more than I thought it would be.

And the back ot the top...For the border I appliqued the top on the checkered fabric and cut away the middle part on the back later.

This is a crocheting try-out. I found the pattern on the blog of Lucy and you can find patterns like this also in books about crochete. I like it so I might use it again for a bigger project.

I sandwiched the klosjesquilt on the frame. I did not quilt it on the frame because the backing fabric is too thick (sheet fabric). The quilting was very difficult and I will try to quilt it on the sewing machine.

For now I took apart the quiltframe and this is wat is left of it. Not so much to store somewhere I think.

This is where we, husband, sister, brother in law and me, stayed last week. We were in the Vendeé (France) at the coast of the Atlantic ocean. We like to go geocaching . I especially like to be in unknown, beautiful places. The searching can be quite difficult!

The coastline here is nowhere the same and sometimes very rough ( as was the weather).

Geocaching, sometimes feels like 'playing outside' when I was little ;)

Prachtige foto's.

Fijne dag groetjes ineke
