Donegal quilt finished

Just a little note about the Donegal quilt. I showed it once when it didn't have a border. I didn't quilt it but made knots and used the blanket stitch to make the little border with woolen yarn. The top is a 100 % woolen tweed and the filling is also a woolen batting. I used a baby- ribcord with flowers on the back. The quilt is very warm! The fabrics are from Donegal, Ireland, you can read about ithere.

Happy to have finished something that was waiting to be finished for a long time!

Groetjes
Annemieke

Looks like a nice warm one! Love how you finished it off with the blanket stitch.

Nice and warm! I love the tweeds and I have a similar quilt that my great grandmother made from mens suits.

That is very nice. I like the wool and the buttonhole stitches. I'm hoping to make one similar to this very soon.
