Thimbleberries blokken en buiten...

Afgelopen week maakte ik deze blokken af voor een thimbleberries quilt.Dit zijn de maanden 6 en 7 van vorig jaar dus ik loop nog wel erg achter maar dat komt wel goed. Dan heb ik nog met applicatie bezig geweest, maar dat is nog niet af. Tijdens de quiltbee van mijn quiltgroep heb ik een uitleg(je) gegeven over het machinaal maken van klosjes. Door dit alles heb ik nog geen tijd voor nieuwe klosjes gemaakt.

Last week I did these thimble berries blocks. They are month 6 and 7 of last year so I'm behind but it will be finished sometime.I did some applique and explained the ladies of my quiltbee how to make 'klosjes' on the machine. I did not make time for new 'klosjes' because of all this.




Vanmiddag tijdens het uitlaten van de hondjes zag ik ineens een ongewone vogel. Gauw de camera gehaald maar hij was nog erg ver weg. Het was een lepelaar. Die heb ik hier nog nooit gezien. Hij is wit, heeft zwarte poten en snavel met aan het einde van zijn snavel een licht stuk wat uitloopt in een lepelvorm. Echt gaaf om zo'n vogel zo dichtbij in het echt te zien.

This afternoon I walked my dogs and saw a bird I never saw before, here, I did see it in a book and probably in the zoo. I got my camera but the bird was still a little bit far away. It was a spoonbill. He was white with black paws and beak. The end of it looks like a spoon. I was very excited to see such a bird close by.


Daarna heb ik het veulentje gefotografeerd die ook vlakbij ons huis staat. Hij (of zij) is denk ik 4 dagen geleden geboren. Het lijkt op een speelgoedbeest! Heel pluizig, klein, echt schattig om te zien.

Then I made a picture of a little foal. It was born 4 days ago. It looks like a big floffy toy! Very cute!

Your thimbleberries blocks are lovely, I love the blue fabric. How nice to see a new bird and the little foal is adorable!

thanks for dropping by my blog. I usually cut the rhubarb flowers as I was told they are actually the "seeds".
I do make an awesome coffee cake which I think I posted on my blog last year. It really is yummy!
