During my holiday in the Véndee I started this huswif for keeping sewing accessories. I saw a lot of examples on the internet the past months but I did not take an example or pattern with me so I decided to make this myself. All handsewed. It is finished and filled.
When you roll it you see the inside with 4 pockets.
The outside is made of hexagons.
A lot of inspiration I got was from this book I bought in France in St. Gilles Croix de Vie. It is written in 2004 and was already a bit damaged and dusty but I still enjoy it very much. Lea Stansal, the writer, uses a lot of embroidery, also on her quilts.
Zie je het rek waar de quilts op hangen? Deze kwam ik tegen bij Loods 5 in Zaandam. Hij heeft geen bijzonder ontwerp maar is wel praktisch en lekker groot.
This is my LE top so far. I like doing the applique, the prep a little less. I will go on today with the first flowervase. I bought this quiltrack at Loods 5, Zaandam. It is big and practical, I like it.
My daughter bought this old quilt from India at Loods 5. It feels very old and soft.
Very special colours and pattern don't you think ?
Hier zie je de voorkant van dichtbij. Ook het quiltwerk is goed te zien. Over de hele opervlakte is er in banen gequilt.
A close-up picture of the front. You can see the quilting very well. There are straight lines all over the quilt.

A few weeks ago I quilted this quilt, my daughter made, on request, on the sewing machine. She made it from scraps, you can reed about it here.
And the back. The quilting consist only of straight lines quilted in a random manner, by using tape as a guideline.
I like the quilt very much and I'm proud of her;)
Nog een gezellige dag verder, misschien wel lekker binnen vanwege het gure weer, met iets warms om te drinken en een handwerkje om af te maken,
Have a nice day, maybe inside because of the bad weather (here we have rain and storm), with something warm to drink and something nice to sew and finish.
